Let a Christmas elf move in with you! The tradition of the “Wichtel door” comes from Scandinavia and has a long-standing history there. Behind the little door lives a tiny elf who comes from the enchanted forest during the Advent season to stay with families and help with Christmas preparations. But be careful — the elf is a nocturnal creature! During the day he sleeps and must never be disturbed behind his door. At night, however, he becomes very active and sometimes plays a few pranks. Of course, even an elf has to do household chores now and then, and to make sure no one gets in the way, he likes to put up warning signs while he’s working.
